Creating, sharing pages and attaching files can be done with a point-and-click; users of MindTouch Deki can easily attach documents and images to individual pages with those images and attachments then appearing at the bottom of the page in a special section for quick reference. With efficiency and simplicity in mind, images are presented in an attractive image gallery which render as a thumbnail at the bottom of the page. An image slideshow allows images to easily be viewed in the page’s context. Also, all attached file contents and images are automatically versioned and indexed for search.

With MindTouch Deki you’ll never lose track of a page or which users edited content and when. MindTouch Deki's comprehensive history tracking allows users at a glance to see who edited pages, attached files versions, when it was done, and a brief summary of the tracked activity. Monitoring changes is equally simple; users can easily create their own watch lists of pages, subscribe to a specific page then watch and view the changes in a simple and intuitive interface that sorts the changes chronologically. More importantly, users can organize content into an intuitive hierarchy just as they’re accustomed to with Microsoft Windows, Linux and Apple OS X. All this and an easy to view site map that makes it easy to view every page on the wiki site in a single view.

MindTouch Deki also enables tagging. Users can easily define their own tags to classify and relate pages. Tag folksonomies are extremely useful when using systems with multiple users. With MindTouch Deki a user can use key word tags, date and time tags (chronotags), and define tag categories as well.

In the true spirit of MindTouch collaboration everyone’s voice is heard; as easy as it is to create a page, it is just as easy to comment on any page. In addition, every page also has its own “talk page” to facilitate ongoing discussions, supporting materials or other media.
