MindTouch Deki supports external authentication with LDAP, Active Directory, Wordpress, Drupal, Joomla, and other systems, but MindTouch Deki also provides all the tools you need internal to the system to help insure privacy and security.

MindTouch Deki can be set to allow anonymous viewing or be made private. 

MindTouch Deki's provides granular controls for permissioning files and information. Site administrators can configure user roles and groups or integrate external authentication systems. Permissions can be set for individual users or groups of users. Permissions can be applied to entire hierarchies to create private or non-editable workspaces, or to single pages.

Users can apply permissions to individual pages or create private or semi-public workspaces. Files and page comments are permissioned by the access rights of a given page. Even the built-in enterprise grade search engine, which indexes pages and attached files, enforces permissions.

Creating new users in MindTouch Deki is easy and efficient. A site administrator can create new users from the User Management console in the site administration control panel. MindTouch Deki automatically notifies the new user of their account creation via email. Site administrators will appreciate the ease with which they can create and manage users and assign user role and groups.
